Sameer Quraishi, a 20-year-old from the small town of Nautanwa in Uttar Pradesh, has set the Indian digital literary world buzzing with his debut book Nahi Lagti Ab Tum Kuch Meri. Released in early 2026, the book crossed 10,000 readers in its very first week, sparking conversations on Instagram, WhatsApp groups and reading communities across the country.
The buzz around Sameer is not manufactured — it is organic, earned through the genuine emotional power of his writing. Nahi Lagti Ab Tum Kuch Meri translates roughly to ‘You no longer feel like mine’, and the title alone is enough to stop a scroll. And yet Sameer is far more than a poet. He is a verified Spotify artist with a global music catalogue, an entrepreneur running GrowSocialLife and Zargam Pvt. “People kept telling me to focus on one thing,” Sameer recalls. “But I never believed that creativity and ambition had to be separate. For me, they have always been the same energy.”
