Kolkata, 22nd August 2026: The internationally acclaimed Hindi neo-noir human drama “ROLL CAMERA – Beneath The Glitz” is set to be screened at Nandan – 3, Kolkata, as part of the Durgapur International Film Festival 2026, on 22nd August 2026 at 4:30 PM. The screening will be attended by members of the film’s cast and crew.
Produced under the banner of Roll Kamera Motion Pictures Pvt. Ltd., the film is written and directed by multifaceted filmmaker Tejas Namdev Dhhanraj.

A neo-noir human drama, the film explores failure, fractured relationships, rejection, ambition and the quiet loneliness of survival. Inspired by true incidents, it presents a raw and unflinching portrayal of the harsh realities that exist behind the world of cinema.
While the film industry has often been portrayed through stories of triumph, success and celebrated journeys, ROLL CAMERA focuses on those whose dreams did not come true — the individuals who chased their ambitions but were ultimately consumed by them.

Tejas Namdev Dhhanraj: A Singular Creative Vision
Written and directed by Tejas Namdev Dhhanraj, ROLL CAMERA – Beneath The Glitz represents another significant chapter in his creative journey.
Tejas made his directorial debut with the Telugu film “TAPANA,” produced by Applause Entertainment and starring Prabhu Deva. After moving to Mumbai, he went on to work across multiple formats, including music videos and television commercials.
He also directed the widely discussed “OPERATION PARINDEY” for ZEE5, featuring Amit Sadh and Rahul Dev.
With ROLL CAMERA, Tejas brings together his experience across commercial and cinematic formats to create a story rooted in realism while retaining a distinctive visual and narrative identity.
Power-Packed Cast
The film features Mohak Kansara in the lead, alongside Raayo S Bakhirta (Pyaar Ka Panchnama), Rupali Jadhav, Aparna Paranjape, Satish Kumar Adla, Kaushal Shah and Master Ch. Srujan.
The ensemble delivers performances marked by realism, emotional intensity and authenticity, helping bring the film’s complex characters and psychological landscape to life.
Accomplished Technical Team
The film’s visual language has been crafted by cinematographers Puneet Bhardwaj and Sameer Reddy, creating a cinematic world that complements its neo-noir tone.
The music is composed by Filmfare Award-winning Ranjan Patnaik and Tony, along with Surya Vishwakarma and Sudeep Kurni, creating a soundscape designed to enhance the emotional depth of the narrative.

Director’s Note
Speaking about the film, director Tejas Dhhanraj says:
“This is a story that stays with you for days. While it is set in the film industry, its core is deeply human — it reflects the pain, relationships, and emotional battles that anyone can relate to when success remains just out of reach.”
He further describes the film’s central idea as being not simply about struggle, but about the person living through it:
“This isn’t a film about struggle — in life or in the industry. It’s about the struggler himself.”
What Lies Ahead
Following its ongoing international festival journey, the makers are planning a release of ROLL CAMERA – Beneath The Glitz on a premium OTT platform and are currently in discussions with reputed Bollywood production houses.
Director Tejas Dhhanraj is also in talks with reputed production houses for his next two projects — one in Telugu and another in Hindi. His upcoming work is expected to continue his interest in larger-than-life commercial storytelling while maintaining a logical and believable narrative approach.
